Overdue

For anyone who ventures outdoors. Day trips, overnights, week-long expeditions on land or at sea. If you're overdue, your contacts will know immediately — not hours later, when someone notices you're missing.

How it works

  1. 1
Record a voice message and set a deadline.
Say where you're headed and when you'll be back — in your own words. Pick who gets notified if you don't check in.
  2. 2
Check in at your appointed time.
The application asks: are you home safely? Confirm, and the trip is complete. Your contacts never hear from us.
  3. 3
If you don't check in by your deadline…
Your voice message is delivered to your contacts by text message. They hear your own words — whatever you told them before you left. They know something's wrong the moment your deadline passes.

Privacy

While your trip is active, Overdue holds your voice message, your deadline, and a count of how many people to notify. Your contacts' names and phone numbers stay on your phone — they are never stored on our servers.

When you check in, everything is deleted immediately. When a trip escalates, your voice message is delivered by text message and then deleted from our servers. After delivery, we log that the trip was completed — a timestamp, a status, nothing more.

We do not store your contact list. We do not have accounts, profiles, or address books. No analytics, no trackers, no third-party code. Overdue cannot sell or share your data because Overdue does not keep your data.
